It isn't quite the same as it was before the new ownership but menu is just as broad and the food still is excellent and plentiful. It is in our weekly rotation for lunch takeout. Lots of what I would call Oklahoma cooking. They switched to table service versus ordering at counter and it really slowed down the service last time we ate there but takeout has always been ready..
I like to go for Saturday breakfast. It is not nearly as busy as Sunnyside Diner, the new owner. Lots of vegetarian options for me. I also like looking at all of the historical pictures hanging on the walls. Since I have moved to the south side, it has become a go to place for me.
Went in a few months ago to give it a try. It's definitely not the same, but the menu looks good. When I lamented about my favorite fish tacos not being on the menu, they told me they could make them. It was disappointing. However, I'm sure the other options on the actual menu are great.
There's a group of us local amateur (ham) radio operators that meet there for lunch the fourth Thursday of every month. They always set us up in the back room, so we have it to ourselves. They always treat us great.
