I'd love to know what pastries she's planning to have, and if the focus is on French, will there also be breads? Given the planned location, are we going for affordable prices or "we're rebuilding the area!" prices? It's really interesting to me that certain places charge $4 - $6 dollars for a macaron, when they generally go for $1.50 - $2, and literally cost pennies to make at home.
i saw remodeling work in a building across the street from the occc center; i wonder if that is the location for the cookie shop. i think this is a good effort, if it proves profitable it will become a success story for the area, but if it fails misserably it will show the area is still not an attractive business district. let's wish it luck.
