I'm hearing this concept is coming to Oklahoma City.
I believe there will be a location on the Northwest side and perhaps another in Edmond and Midtown.
Look for a press release early next week:

WIN! I love Mediterranean food.
Their first location will be at 4130 NW Expressway, next to Buffalo Wild Wings.
2nd location will be in Edmond and a 3rd possibly in Midtown.
Seriously? Are there issues with dinner business in Midtown? I have dinner there a lot and never really noticed empty restaurants. There are getting to be a lot of restaurants, but the population is increasing in the area as well. With the new hotel and burgeoning population in SoSA, as well as all the Midtown Renaissance renovations, coupled with existing Mesta Park and HH populations, I woudn't think dinner numbers would be a problem.
I'm not sure about the other restaurants in Midtown but for this particular concept they felt like their dinner business would be stronger elsewhere.
They have passed all the inspections for their first location at NW Expressway & 63rd (next to Buffalo Wild Wings) and will be opening on Tuesday:
Yep, sign was put up last week on exterior.
Has anyone tried this place? I did this afternoon. Nice selection, very fresh food, helpful workers. Delicious.
Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill
Yes. Common ownership with Buffalo Wild Wings. 'Tis tasty.
And there is one going to open soon in Spring Creek, in Edmond. Its going in the same center as Fish City Grill, Top That Pizza, Peachwave Fro-Yo, Louies, Starbucks, etc.
It's a Colorado-based chain. I'm fired up to give it a try.
The OKC locations are run by a local franchisee, a friend of mine.
They looked hard at opening their first location at 1212 N. Walker, and may still come to Midtown.
He's building a house in the cottage district so I'm sure he'd still love to be down there.
Is he? When I last worked with him he basically had to withdraw his application due to some odd architect issues. Hopefully he moves forward. He may already have, I haven't kept up with the Cottage District like I do Bricktown.
Garbanzo was pretty good the week they opened. Staff was a little overly friendly, and the due ruined about 4 pitas trying to cut them open properly. Hopefully that's fixed.
