Steve, Thanks! That was very interesting to say the least.
Thank Jack. He's still very much on top of his game!
It is great they are restoring it. It is a great old building with some great memories.
Very interesting. I don't know why, but for some reason that reminds me of the Zebra Room in the bottom of the Civic Center.
cool article... i always thought some of that stuff was added later. guess not!
i'm gonna throw around a couple questions regarding the 'horseshoe' part of the building... i've heard that portion was once open-air, being just a roof over a bunch of stalls. is this true? also, the southern part of that 'horseshoe' is gone... i've heard it was to fire. if that's true, any idea when?

I'll send these questions to Jack

they used to have the "Golden Gloves" boxing Championships there...My uncle won it two years in a row.....Thought boxing was "Dumb"....It hurts....My dad used to deliver produce to the old building and to Nuckols Banana on the North side of the Market......Sterling Produce has been there forever and it is well kept secret to a lot of people in OKC.....I grew up in and around the Farmer's Market......Tanaka Tomatoes....Buddy's Produce...The Potato Wholesaler.....Gosh, that was a fun place to be a kid......You could always "Hustle up" a few quarters if you wanted to work......
