Default May sweeps has apparently begun

Well, lets see, KFOR has new graphics. Dissappointingly, they're pretty similar to their old ones. KFOR decided to show their live helicopter shot for the first half of their 10pm newscast with no breaking away. I would have thought there wasn't any other news yesterday if I hadn't watched the first 20 minutes of Fox25 at 9pm. I think the only time we ever see KFOR or KWTV use their helicopter at night is during sweeps. That was extremely over the top and one reason why I rarely watch KFOR. Since KFOR thought it necessary to give us that shot for about 15 straight minutes, I decided to flip over to channel 53 at 10:30pm to see how long NEWS9 covered the fire. Surprisingly, it was only about 3 minutes. NEWS9 actually decided to give us NEWS. I was really shocked that KWTV did try to match KFOR in time of coverage but, hey, that's why they're number 1. It didn't dawn on me until 10:30pm that I don't even think I heard mention of the fire on Fox25. For every two steps forward Fox25 makes, they take three steps back. No live breaking news coverage of the fire is three steps back. C'mon Fox25, its sweeps for crying out loud.

LOL! I noticed this last night, and said virtually the same thing to my fiance!!
They stayed with that stupid fire footage all the way into the next programming hour!? They only cut away for sports?? Rediculous!
