That dry slot over the city looks like it has just about gone. I'm glad this has held off, personally. It is fun to have a big storm and I hope we still get some excitement, but jamming up people trying to get home is not something to hope for. I'm with everyone else - thrilled to have the moisture, so far. We've gotten about an inch. Keep it coming!

6:02, Live in far SW OKC. Haven't seen a single flake. This snowmaggedon that the weather people throw at us from time to time is criminal. People filling tanks full with gas, buying everything in sight at grocery stores, buying shovels, salt, etc. Basically scaring the crap out of people, especially the elderly. Every damn time the fear mongers do this. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. OKC, you've been hosed again. Heard a national news guy say recently, that local weather people do this, otherwise they have no job and are useless.

Never hurts to have a full tank of gas and what grownup doesn't have a shovel????

Personally, I don't know any elderly person worried about this. They grew up using outhouses and nothing scares anyone after that.

I honestly don't know whether or not to set my alarm for tomorrow and run outside and scream at God or crack open a few coldees and plan on sleeping in.

In other news, i dont really like snow, but since they said this was going to be "the big one" i am ready. BTW its snowing over here near Lake Hefner, but i guess ya'all already know that

Like my boy Venture said, it's better to wait till this thing is over with before we start calling out the weather folks, although the short amount of patience with them is understandable considering their history of getting worked up & sending everyone into an apocalyptic sort of frenzy.

Where were you driving, Illinois? Lol! I think all of Oklahoma owns 30 snowplows total. Seems like it, anyway. After my first winter here I realized why everyone just stays home during inclement weather.

Thats where i'm at. I just checked my work email and there was a liberal leave issued for the tomorrow, but i almost wonder if it will be cancelled if we dont get any meaningful snow. As we all know, nothing more cruel that having your heart set on a snow day and then ending an evening not knowing if your going to have work in the morning.

With that said - Snow is now falling in Choctaw / Harrah area!

    Radar is just showing rain?

Get drunk, run outside & scream at God tonight (with an appropriate amount of clothing on), set your alarm for tomorrow, throw it against the wall when it goes off in the morning & sleep in.

The weather people just present data and a list of probabilities. Everyone else turn it into snowmaggedon.

I just got to use the PING App to tell the OU people that there is a rain / snow mix in west Midwest City. I guess there will be a little snowflake blinking over my house.

I beg to differ. Numerous of the local yokal weather people, including Mike Morgasm, called this a "life threatening" storm. These people are a freaking joke.

You do understand that the OKC stations broadcast far out into Western OK, right?

Or are you just content to complain that your little bubble is not experiencing what was predicted?

A lot of use were calling Morgan dumb for predicting 1-3 inches here in the city and it looks like he may be right.

Correction: He is still wrong because this is looking more like a trace for the metro. lol

Deformation zone in SW OK deteriorating. This is most definitely a bust for OKC; barring some amazing stall-out and we go out Lubbock, TX style.

Bummer with such a perfect track! Enid OK is going to be a winner, it has been snowing heavy there for the entire day.

But will we still get the rain?

Still nothing much happening in my neighborhood in east Norman. Just rain every now and then. I cancelled all my evening plans for nothing. :\ At least we got some moisture out of it, I guess.
