    Default Received my Certificate

Last evening, we had our monthly meeting for the Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association. The CFAAA is a volunteer organization that assists the Okla. City Fire Dept in working at special events and functions. Even though we do many things with the OCFD, the majority of our volunteer work is assisting the fire department in teaching children about fire safety.

The fire department has a brand new fire safety trailer which they take to special events and schools. This safety trailer is a fifth wheel trailer that is designed and equipped specifically for teaching fire safety. In order for anyone to work the fire safety trailer, they have to go through a fire safety trailer certification class, where they learn how to give children tours of the safety trailer, and explain fire safety. We are also all required to go through a background check since we are working with children.

Anyway, we had a training class last month, and many of us were presented with our certificates Thursday evening by our president. Even though I am the vice president, I am usually the photograper at our meetings. When they took this picture, I was trying to suck my gut in.LOL.

Congratulations, Keith! I know that serving the community in related areas (like your work at the State Fair) is important to you. I feel safer now that you're certified!

    Congrats.

Congrats Keith and Mr. Anderson. If the training you guys received saves the life of one child or keeps a child from harm in a fire related incident. It's all worth more than gold....keep up the good work. Kel
