    Default MiMi's Cafe

Well, reluctantly I'll do a review of this place since I'm a local restaurant supporter instead of chains. Some of my business colleagues (from Portland, Chicago, and Charlotte) when they visit every few weeks insist on eating here when they come to OKC. I try and insist that it is a chain restaurant and they really need to get out more and try local establishments and get a real taste of OKC.

Well anyhow we ate here one night this week. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Surprisingly it was better than expected and was served with probably the best mashed potatoes and gravy I ever had. It also came with a side of veggies which I didn't care for. In fact, the only thing that really upset me was that it said choice of sides but the waiter never asked and moved to quickly around the table before I could stop him. Service was poor for a slow night (The Bricktown phenomenoa as many refer to although this place is in Quail Springs area) All entrees were also served with the complimentary sourdough bread and I think its molasses bread. It's always good as well. My colleagues had chicken pot pie, blue cheese and walnut salad, soup of the house, and I forget the rest of the party's order. All seem to enjoy as usual. All in all I'd give this place a 6.5 out of 10, however I don't recommend going to chain restaurants that often. The place is definitely geriatric if you know what I mean. It's funny because someone in our party always asked if this is a popular place to eat. I'm like look around, it reminds me of a Luby's or a Furrs. Besides a few of us at our table, we're the only people 35 or under.

    Ok, I'm out now

Funny you mentioned Mimi's Cafe. I ate at a Bob Evans late one night in Pittsburgh, PA a few weeks ago and learned from the menu that they own and operate Mimi's Cafe. For those of you who don't know, Bob Evans is a ubiquitous chain of 600+ restaurants all over the Midwest and the East coast. It's like a Denny's, maybe a little nicer, but the same kind of thing.

I ate at Mimi's once at the insistance of my husband's friend. I couldn't find a single thing on the menu that sounded good to me at all. I ate a salad just 'cuz I couldn't find anything else. I don't think I'll ever return to Mimi's. I'd rather go somewhere that I can actually find something I want to eat.

Went to Mimi’s Cafe for breakfast... It is ok... Nothing that exiting except for the banana muffin...

Never tried their lunch but dido on the post on top... Nothing really looked neat on the menu...

Not really surprised. The last time I was there it was very disappointing all around.
