Avatars and Sigs

Over the past several months we've received several complaints over the current avatar and signature policy. Many have stated that the oversized avatars, excessive and lengthy signatures, personal content contained within the signatures, etc. are a distraction to the forum and a pain to scroll through. In an attempt to limit bandwidth (to reduce expenses, a benefit to those who have made a financial investment in this site), clean up excessive signatures, and reduce excessive scrolling, we've decided to make a few changes in the restrictions placed on Signatures and Avatars.

Please review the new addition to the Forum Rules/TOS for changes made. http://www.okctalk.com/forum-rules/4-please-read.html. We've already reduced many of your avatars to comply with the rules, and changes have been made in the system to restrict text length of signatures.

By the way, please don't feel like you've been singled out. I as well had to change my avatar and signature to comply. My signature in fact did not comply with the new guidelines! So we as moderators are required to comply as well.
