The old Sullivan's and more recently Mangos at 4401 W. Reno has been demolished to make way for a new retail store and distribution warehouse for Mattress King.
Remember when I-40 & Meridian was the happening area? That era has long passed.

I’m more of a Sofa King man myself.
I need a history lesson.. how and why was I-40 & Meridian the happening area? I moved here in 2017 I’ve always seen that part of town for what it is now
In the 70s and 80s, it became the place for big, themed restaurants and nightclubs.
Molly Murphy's, Doc Severson's, Cajun's Warf, Cowboys, Sullivan's, The Hungry Peddler, Applewoods, the Sportspage Club; a bunch of others. Shepplers was a big deal at that time as well.
It was really the only area of town with a big concentration of hotels and everything else followed. All this was long before Memorial Road was a thing, and downtown only had one or two hotels and nothing else.
At the same time, the NW Expressway corridor was the other semi-hot area.
