Default Land Clearing 150th & Santa Fe

Two areas of ground work on 150th, one the northeast corner of 150/Santa Fe, behind the CVS, and the other on 150th, north side, between Kelly and Broadway. Anyone have any idea what's going on at either location?

That's actually in the City of Edmond so I can't find any permits.

Looks like an office park configuration:

My grandfather built the lake in the lower left hand corner of that photo, back in the 1940s. That was once the farm my mother grew up on. My grandparents, Mom and her siblings lived in a house that was roughly where 7-11 sits today.

That's neat! Definitely puts the growth of this whole area in to context. Seems like every open area between Coffee Creek and Memorial from Portland out to Eastern is getting developed.

I knew the lake (actually just a very big farm pond) was on the farm when Mom was growing up. While pursuing an art minor in college she painted a picture of him sitting in front of that lake, plus lots of her childhood stories revolve around swimming, fishing and even nearly drowning in it. But I was unaware that he’d actually built it himself until I found a 1947 feature article in The Oklahoman about “gentlemen farmers” that discussed it. My family didn’t homestead there; he bought 80 acres there in the 1930s after moving to OKC from Wisconsin in the 20s.

Now my dad’s family, OTOH, was in Indian Territory (Vinita) before 1889 and settled the Luther/Jones area during the Land Run era.
