This building at 420 NW 8th has been run-down for quite a while.

It was recently sold to a local owner and they are in the process of a complete remodel.

There is another abandoned complex directly north that the Corsair group also needs to sell so it can be redeveloped; it's been fenced off for a while.

Isn’t the classen motel kind of like that? It’s not a true hostel but I think it is somewhat inexpensive
