    I40Meridian Seafood Island

Don't know anything about this place other than it is set to open soon in the old Portofino's at 4700 W. Reno, which is just west of Meridian.

Well then it must be good.

I believe they are affiliated with one of the Classen / 23rd Chinese places, perhaps Grand House.

Cornerstone and not even open yet. Just imagine what it will be like once anyone HAS any of the cuisine, enjoys the service, or meets the staff.

I'm bummed PortoFino's closed. They were always good, very reasonably priced and very nice people.

Is that the place next to the topless bar with the concrete horses outside like it was originally a pf Chang’s? That place wreaks of restaurant death. Every time I’m in the commercial park area I drive by to get on\off the highway and it boggles the mind. Must have been cheap dirt or something...

They used to be WAY on the other side of town, where Nhinja is, on 122nd and Rockwell. They used that old Godfather's storefront as best as they could have, replete with a wine bar. Nice food, especially nice sauce. They seemed like a family operation, and I hate seeing that stuff go.
