Thread: Polk's House

  1. Northeast OKC Polk's House

Anyone know the history of this building on the SW corner of Lottie and NE 23rd? It looks like an old diner of some sort possibly and I've always thought it was a cool little building.

Looks like someone is opening it up as a restaurant. I found this Facebook page for Polk's House at that address but the pics on that page don't appear to be from inside that building.

My uncle owned the Swick Generator Service that used to be across the street from there. I used to hang out there as a kid in the 60's. I ate at that diner a lot. I am trying to recall the name.

There was a permit filed for a new alarm system just a couple of weeks ago.

Don't know if this will be an alarm company or for another tenant.

That building looks like something that was moved there rather than built on site.
