Where can I watch the planes come in (Will Rogers Airport)?

Would love to spend a nice evening sitting on the hood of my car and watch planes fly in low. Is there a good spot near Will Rogers Airport that would allow me to park my car and watch planes fly overhead?

I've seen cars parked on Newcastle road before just west or Meridian. Not sure the legality of that though.

This reminds me of my younger days. In the mid-late 50's, the road just North of the runways was open to the public with a warning sign about low flying aircraft. It was a great place to take your girlfriend for the evening. The landing planes seemed to be right on top of us. Too bad they closed that road.
