I'm not sure how far you can go back, but I sometimes use http://www.lightningmaps.org when I'm out running.

With clearing taking place after this morning's storms, severe storm chances are increasing for this evening.

Models are pretty much in agreement of developing strong thunderstorms somewhere W to E across the state. Majority develop the complex to the north of I-40 and bring it south, a few develop directly on top of I-40. And one develops it south of I-40.

Heavy rain will be the main threat, as well as local wind damage if any storms bow-out or outflow winds per collapsing of tall thunderstorms.

Storms firing now generally along I-40 to the west of OKC. Rush hour will likely be a mess.

I'm hearing that it varied greatly up to around 3 1/2 inches. The airport got very little.

Here in Midwest city my digital gauge showed 1/10 of an inch. And thats the way it has been this year where i live....every storm seems to go around or dissipate before it gets here. Its almost like we are cursed...lol.

so the ridge of high pressure that's supposed to move back in over the weekend... will it move out the humidity?

Thin cumulus field developing out in W OK. May be a focal point for storm development that drifts east tonight.

Large cluster and embedded supercell drifting south in NC OK. Models show this evolving into complex and coming into C OK.

We shall see if It holds together.

More storm chances increasing in the next 48 hours.

Last night's storms went just east of OKC.

New storms developing this morning in NW OK into KS. These will drift southeast with primary movement being to the east. Storms will likely develop south of these complexes into W and C OK and also move south and east.

Heavy rainfall is the main threat over the next 24 -36 hours.

Also virtually entire state is under SLIGHT risk for severe weather. Including a 2% chance of tornado producing storm.

So all these storms sliding east of OKC now. Will there be more later or have we missed that window?

Two big storms in less than 12 hours really walloped Sapulpa and the surrounding area. The lightning on the first storm was insane... I hope some one got a video, because I don't think I've ever seen so much lightning from a single storm. I was too busy running around battening down the hatches to think about getting one myself. Got some hail from that storm too.

Today's storm was all about high winds, and Tulsa proper got hit pretty squarely as well. Tons and tons of tree damage all over the place. Even a few houses with some major damage. I've got styrofoam all throughout my yard and we can't figure out where it came from.

Yea the storms didn't fill in until just past OKC area. So missed opportunity there.

There will be more storms later this evening and tomorrow. QPF projections still put C OK in the bullseye for heaviest precip.

Ok guys, How likely is this to happen? this is a post from Mike Morgan

SVR WX Possible this evening....ENHANCED RISK West OK...towards OKC Metro....If Storms Form, Big Hail and TOR Psbl

He has an enhanced risk out fro SW into Central Oklahoma for this evening. David Payne looks like has us dry this evening with only 30% chances in the West. Any ideas on what's most likely to happen?
