Earthquake insurance

Morning everyone! So I'm planning to move back to Okc in the next few months and I've been reading about all of the earthquakes in Oklahoma...my plan is to move into the deer Creek area. First is that area subject to a lot of earthquakes? Second has anyone researched earthquake coverage and cost?I'm looking for a comprehensive policy and trying to get an idea of the yearly cost...thanks in advance!

Welcome back....in the next few months, lol. I sense the earthquake problem has subsided slightly in our area. However there are areas around Fairview and Medford where the frequency seems unchanged. I have earthquake insurance through Farmers Insurance. It seems like the coverage is decent but wouldn't fully know unless I make a claim. You might download an earthquake app which will give you a better reference as to where earthquakes are occurring most frequently.

I'm with Farmers as well. The extra amount on the policy is not much, but it has a high detuctible, as you'll probably find anywhere you shop. As bucktalk mentioned, noticeable activity around the Okc metro has diminished quite a bit lately, but there still has been some activity across the northern part of the state.

I'm with State Farm and I was surprised that I already was covered when I called them about it. It's fairly inexpensive but of course as Rezman said, it has high deductible.
