Thread: Maybe now is time to split the Development Thread back into Urban and Suburban?

  1. Lightbulb Maybe now is time to split the Development Thread back into Urban and Suburban?

I mention this because with ALL of the urban core development going on the first few pages is nothing but - which is great. However, with the suburbs now ALSO starting to pick up - it is will become much more difficult to navigate as a user and (i'd assume) manage/moderate on the back end.

I personally welcome the urban development and suburban development forums back because it is nice to have a common theme/focus when looking through the development rather than the hodge podge we have done in the name of 'not having a vs.'.

with the suburbs getting hot and the continuation of the core expansion, there really is no more 'vs' as both forums would be ACTIVE and likely appeal differently to the respective audience's expectation (in other words, by having separate dev forums it's easier not to turn every development in OKC into a 'FORCE urban design standards' even though it happens to be in the suburbs.; and vice vera). We have a very healthy city developing so I think we can have different forums focusing on the different ways of thought without it being competitive. ...

    Thoughts?

I'd be really cool with sub forums for all the Urban districts as well, since we're no longer doing the wikis.

I never liked when it got merged to begin with but no one ever seemed bothered by it.

The problem was that we had way too many forums and things have worked much better since consolidation.

We also added the thread tags to easily see the area of town for any project.

And now, we have the map as well.

For the time being, we are going to leave things as they are, especially since I am still cleaning up the aftermath of all the recent changes.
