I moved from OKC in 1975 but it seem like there was a Roy Roger
Restaurant at 59th and Western. Does anyone remember that or am I just dreaming?

It was at 59th and Blackwelder on the NW corner
We had them all over the east coast when I was a kid, then they were converted to Hardee's, but at least in Philly they changed yet again to Hardee's Roy Rogers since the Hardee's name/brand was unfamiliar in that market. Double R bar, fixens bar, burger, horsey sauce & fried chicken
I still make Double Rs on my own. Good stuff.
I always enjoyed the Double R burger, but this place burned me and I never went back. I ordered everything for my family and then I ordered a Double R burger with a large order of fries. The lady at the counter said "Sorry, we're out of holsters". I said fine, just charge me for a large order and put them in two of the small/regular packages and she said (again), sorry, we're out of holsters. By the way, holsters are the containers/packages for large orders of fries. So she offered to let me speak to the manager and he gave me the same crap. I said, just place the equivalent of a large order of fries in my sack and let me check out. He refused. I told him that he could keep everything I ordered for my family and I would never return. And I didn't. Now, I understand how they keep track of everything with packaging, but I was a customer and they had no interest in making me happy.

Well, I'm glad I wasn't dreaming. I was just a half of a mile off. Thanks for all the replies.
Ah the Double R Bar burger, quite possibly the most under appreciated fast food item ever. Plus a hangover preventative when eaten at presumably the right time.
