Thread: 7000 S. May Ave.

  1. #1

South OKC 7000 S. May Ave.

Formerly the Skaggs Alpha Beta, Albertsons, and most recent Wild Bills furniture, seems to be going through a major renovation. The entire center of the building it cut open and gutted. Not quite sure what's going on and whether or not if the furniture is still open during all of this.

On Cue is going in on the west side of the property and the building is being chopped down to make room for them, then will be leased out.

This was posted in another thread some time ago...

As for the old Albertsons there at I-240 and May, here's what the developer wants to do with it:

According to Pete: "Land Run is subdividing the old Homeland property, adding a retail strip along May and sub-dividing the old grocery store." He thinks the OnCue would go in place of the two proposed buildings fronting I-240.

The subdivision and renovation of the main building is probably waiting for Wild Bill's Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment's lease to run out.

Hey, that was my post! Plans since that post have obviously changed; the new OnCue will be fronting May, as depicted in Pete's linked post in the OnCue OKC Expansion thread. The two buildings fronting I-240 don't appear in that drawing, however, so I'm not sure that Land Run is planning for them anymore.

Wild Bill's was landrun's solution to the hotel motel liquidation business they were forced to buy out of their deal with The Rise.
