Thread: Local source of good unbagged compost and peat?

  1. Default Local source of good unbagged compost and peat?

Looking for suggestions for a source of unbagged compost and peat moss locally (OKC/Edmond/Mid-Del/Guthrie).

I want to fill up a truck bed with some compost and peat as the bagged variety can get pretty pricey fast. Looking to use in 5 4'x12'x1' raised beds.

    Any known sources you recommend.

    Hi Brian,

Have you checked this list? Not sure it would be of any help, but they might be able to help.

    Okatty,
I heard their commercial on the radio yesterday, and yes, they will fill your truck bed. And I suspect your trailer or wheel barrow if you can push it that far.

I had checked them, but they probably won't have more until late this summer.

Somewhat related subject. Several years ago I got a dump truck full of free mulch delivered to my house. Now I can't remember from whom or where and I can't seem to find anything on the internet about it. Any ideas? I use it for my paths and not in my garden beds.
