Effect of the Nepalese earthquake on the U.S.

Not to diminish or belittle the destruction and ongoing struggles in Nepal, but I think this visualization is pretty cool. This is how the quake affected registered on seismic sensors in the U.S.

Red represents upward motion, blue is downward. Watch the waves roll over the continent. The first four remind me of the scene in Jurassic Park with the water rippling in the glass as the T-rex approached. You can even see how the waves seem to jumble after the big event and reverse, like waves in a pool hitting the opposite side bouncing back.

That is one cool video. never have seen one like that. Shows we all live on the same third rock from the sun.
