Thread: Poll: Oklahoma City Convention Center - best site

  1. Post Poll: Oklahoma City Convention Center - best site

ok folks, we've had a couple of days of shock and awe and a little bit of scorched earth thrown in with regard to the convention center - that I think it is time for a poll. Please pick the best site in your opinion that should be selected for the new cc. Try to be realistic as possible and don't just select the ideal location but that which is realistic for cost, conventioneering, and neighborhood repurposement.

    Cox Convention Center site
    C2S South (East actually)
    Main Street
    Bricktown North/Skirvin
    E Bricktown
    U-Haul
    Lumberyard
    Coop
Oklahoma Health Center/Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics
    Farmer's Market
    repurpose AICCM
    Fairgrounds
Suburban - near Yukon was suggested

Please make your selection and then back it up with facts and/or clear data. I'll wait to post my selection until others have done so.

I like the Core2shore site, but it would be sweet if they built it over 235.

  3. Default Re: Poll: Oklahoma City Convention Center - best site

Interesting, after a day of voting C2S is the overwhelming favorite with 50% of the votes. Next is the E Bricktown and Uhaul with a significant drop in votes.

Also interesting nobody voted for OSSM which would be close to GE and could be a cap over I235. I suppose this indicates folks really took the poll seriously so perhaps there might be some level of scientific backing in this?

Thanks everyone, and to those who haven't voted yet please exercise you right!
