WOW another big news with the franchiselumponsports: I am no longer with the Franchise. I wish Steely and Rohde and the staff the very best. Thanks 2 all my listeners for the fun. I'll be back!

Hopefully this is the first step towards an eventual format flip. OKC has way too many sports stations.
I don't know what happened but if lump bailed you certainly can't blame him. That morning show is gawd awful.
It's terrible compared to WWLS, I tried it for like 5 minutes and it was horrible.
Morning Animals is such a mismatch of characters that it really works.
I won't be surprise if they are more fires from the stationlumponsports: I was let go after the show today. Was told they're "Moving in a different direction" It was a shock but I'll land on my feet. I WILL be back
Looking more and more like they're losing ground to the Animal. Bet they're a long way from a format flip, though.
Steely and Lump and Pork was the best when they were together on the Animal.I wish the Franchise would of done that in the first place and possibly Lump will still be on the radio
Not saying it's not true, but I just don't see how this is possible. People who listen to the urinal, either dont' know sports, don't understand sports or just plain don't care about sports. That being said, I don't really listen to the franchise either. I typically listen to the REF, who actually talk a lot of sports on their morning show and have no skits, bits or schtick. I do flip over to Mayes when the REF is on commercial. And I have listened to the Franchise's high school football show and fantasy show when I'm on the road at night. They have a pretty strong signal too.
Not sure what happened but got a double post.

Tyler Media is sinking all of it's resources into the Franchise, so if they go down it'll be in a blaze of glory. I thought it was a dumb move for them to just steal all of the Animal's veterans in the first place. The fact that WWLS hasn't evolved in 20 years was the reason that people were so sick of them. Tyler did WWLS a huge service by stealing the old Morning Animals, as the new ones are 10x better. They'll have to make a major move to make up any ground in the mornings.
The Franchise needs to steal Toby Rowland and TJ Perry and have them do the same morning show that those two currently do - just on a stronger signal. Then they need to steal Dusty and Teddy. I think a line up of Toby/TJ, Sam Mayes and Dusty & Teddy would put the hurt on the SA. Then the Franchise could still have Todd and someone else for after 6pm programming.
I liked it much better as 107.zeppelin.
What station is the ref on? Is that the one that was on am 1340 or something like that? Do they have an FM chan?
It doesn't reach into northwest OKC. That said, last weekend they were doing a remote from the Homeland store at May and Britton -- so they're at least interested in building some audience away from Norman.
AM 1400 in Norman but simulcast on 1340 in OKC. They carry KREF until 8am then switch over Dan Patrick which means they miss the last hour of Toby and TJ. Which doesn't bother me that much since I have to be at work at 8. Then they have Jay Mohr Sports and switch back to the REF at 2pm to carry Dusty and Teddy.
Are Mike Steely and John Rhode gone also? I have not heard them since Lump left.
Bigray in Ok
Not that I enjoyed their morning show before...but I wanted to give Steely, Rhode, and Jessi a try....I made it about 5 minutes and did not enjoy Jessi on the show at all. It was really bad an awkward.
My friend Jerry Ramsey is now running the 107.7 website. When checking look for a few "Silliman on Sports" columns.
