The final spotter training webinar presented by the NWS forecast office in Norman will be conducted tomorrow, April 1st, beginning at 6:30 PM.

Unfortunately, the webinar on the 25th was plagued by internet problems at the NWS office and almost all of the first half was missing audio or video or both. Although, this webinar is described as "advanced", it will cover all of the important elements of storm spotting, albeit in somewhat greater detail than the "basic" course. It should be valuable for anyone at any level of expertise who is interested in spotting.

I would definitely recommend the advanced training session. Last year it provided a lot of good details but still was not over the top to where it was too hard to understand.

If you're not overloaded on weather already this week or if you missed one of the Norman webinars. The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Lubbock, TX is conducting a basic spotter webinar tonight at 6:30. I am going to attend to compare how the two offices approach the subject of spotting.
