What do you call the little road that bends from the western part of Lindsey and turns into the southernmost part of 36 Ave NW? 36th? Lindsey? The Lindsey cutoff? My kids and I call it Tortuga Road since we found a nice turtle in the middle of the road when it opened years ago. What do you call it?

I just call it Lindsey...though it is an annoying transition from one to the other. Where is the official cut off?

Google Maps calls it 36th all the way to Ed Noble Parkway.
Bing Maps and MapQuest calls it Lindsey until it goes straight north.

i think "officially" lindsey was extended into 36th, so all of the road that was added 15-or-so years ago is lindsey... at least that's how it is on the assessor's site. -M

I tend to just call it the go around ... as in go around the obstacles of the day for Ed Noble, 35 and NW/SW 24th street

Back before they began to develop 24th north of Robinson, the area between Rock Creek and Tecumseh was a decent place to take a telescope for star peeking on a school night and there wasn't time to get further out. Little enough light pollution to make it at least border line acceptable. One of the little rig roads made a real decent close in, day time place to set up cans for bb pistol plinking with the kiddos. Some of our neighbors back in the day had real phobias so we tended to not use our own yard much. I'd usually take just one kiddo with me and enjoy some poppa/plinking/bonding time.)

We used the area quite a bit back then. Only once had a run-in with a local leo. Soon as he realized the only thing we were up to that night was star gazing, he went on about his way. Been pondering where to take the grandkiddos when they are bigger. Most of the little out of the way but still not very far places are now chock full of businesses or houses. On the bright side, most of the neighbors are somewhat new so hopefully none are more nervous than the ones who preceded them
Doesn't help for the star gazing though. That'll take some hunting.
