Golden Chick Restaurant

Does anyone know what happened to the Golden Chick operation at 23rd & Penn? All of a sudden it closed with only a note for its customers: Due to circumstances beyond our control, Golden Chick is temporarily closing.
That was a brand new building, so it probably wasn't the health department that shut the operation down. Does anyone have the inside scoop about why it closed and/or when it will re-open?

It was bought by Betty White and it was closed for some remodeling for her design taste. It'll reopen soon and on the Grand Opening day, Betty White will make a personal appearance.

I too am wondering the same thing, they acted as if it was only going to be closed a few days or a week, now it's been weeks if not longer and says closed indefinitely.

LOL. Maybe you're kidding. If not, I assume the joke was in referencing Golden Chick to "Golden Girls" which was a Betty White sitcom.
