Even though I'm in the Walsh camp I like this system and wouldn't even mind Chelf being mostly a first-down qb, as long as it's not an even/predictable Landry/Belldozer platoon. Chelf is too gutsy and too good of a scrambler to not use that just as JW is too efficient of a passer. My hope is that Gundy can use the roster we have to win another Big 12 title and keep JW fresh to go for another year or two, with the Zona transfer Dax Garman to redshirt waiting in the wings.
I would be curious to see if there is any way both could line up, with JW lining up beside Chelf in a similar formation that Tavon Austin did at WVU against OU. I also expect to see OSU once again at the top nationally in turnover margin as these guys now have a year of decision-making experience and the defense has been re-focused on hitting hard and getting turnovers.
