Thread: Question on a couple elementary schools?

Default Question on a couple elementary schools?

Can you guys tell me anything about these public elementary schools in OKC?

    Monroe Elementary
    Sequoyah Elementary

How do these schools stack up to their peers in OKC? Do they have a bad reputation for anything? What middle school would these kids be heading to? Any information you guys have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Monroe has an API of 1093 and Sequoyah 1140. That's about mid-pack for an OKC elementary school but well below what you see in Edmond, Putnam City and Moore.

In other words, API scores are a function of SES. It's no secret that children with fewer resources and less stable home environments do more poorly in school. It's hard to tease out the schools' performance from all of the other variables.
