The Line Maintenance Division of the Water and Wastewater Utilities Department came through today, put up a temporary fence three feet inboard of the original one, and started removing both fence sections and associated trees.

They're talking four months. I assume this is for the entire line-replacement job, however many blocks it runs. Does this sound plausible? This is the first time I've had to deal with actual city crews.
