Toto's is toast

A friend tells me that the guy who owns Benvenuti's and who founded the Terra Verde school has taken over the old Toto's location on campus corner and intends to put in an upscale pizzaria. Think wood-fired ovens and white table cloths. He has, apparently, already cleared out the old Toto's location and is moving forward with renovations.
With NY Pizza & Pasta, Hideaway, and Crooked Crust already on Campus Corner, there is stiff competition for the pizza dollar. It will be interesting to see what happens.
I am told that Toto's is no more.

i only have had their pizza once. and granted i was pretty intoxicated at the time, but i don't seem to recall it being anything special... but this does seem to be kind of an awkward choice for this area with all the already established competition

I wish them well but I have doubts. I know when I was in school at OU the last thing I was interested in when going out to eat was "upscale" or "white table cloths".
