Finally a drive time OU sports talk alternative to the Animal that will be heard though out OKC

Dusty and Teddy are moving to the afternoon drive time 2 to 6 on 1400 AM...... But perhaps the big news is that they will be simulcasting their entire show on 1340 AM. This is a station that can be heard city wide.

This show and the Toby Rowland's show, that is also simulcast on 1340 AM from 6-8 AM helps fill a void for OU sport talk as the Sports Animal is now devoting far more of its time to the OKC Thunder and OSU.

KREF-AM 1400 is moving its Dusty Dvoracek-Teddy Lehman talk show to afternoon drive time beginning Monday. “The Rush” will air 2 to 6 p.m. and also be simulcast on KGHM-AM 1340.


“We love how the new show has been received in the market,” KREF owner Randy Laffoon said of Dvoracek and Lehman, former OU defensive stars who played in the NFL. “The Rush” debuted in January, airing 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Laffoon said he also is pleased that he can move Myron Patton and James Hale to earlier timeslots to help with their other jobs. Patton is sports director at KOKH-25 and Hale works with the OU Insider.

The rest of KREF's lineup has Toby Rowland, 6-9 a.m.; Patton and P.J. Mills, 9-11 a.m.; Hale, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.; Chris Joseph, 6-7 p.m.

KGHM was looking for an afternoon drive talk show following the departure of sports director David Garrett. KGHM also simulcasts Rowland's show from 6-8 a.m.

They will interview Sam Bradford on today’s show.
To the best of my knowledge no local talk show host at WWLS has been able to interview Sam since he left OU.
