Auto makers will be going all out with retro Super Bowl commercials.

Didn't Matthew Broderick kill two people in a car wreck? Honda must be really hurting to have a person who committed vehicular manslaughter in their NFL commercial. The Acura commercial with Jerry Seinfeld isn't believable because everyone knows Jerry only drives Porsche.
One thing about Mathew Broderick is he is aging incredibly well!...how is that possible???
That commercial would have been much better as a Super Bowl surprise. The commercials that caught my eye the most were the ones that surprised me. And that one would have been great for that, if we hadn't been hyped to death about it before hand.
I liked the Kia commercial, with the overdose of dream dust from the sandman.
The one that caught us the most off guard was the yogurt commercial with John Stamos. So unexpected. BAM!
Does anyone think the valet employee was the same guy from the movie? I liked it!
Not sure how much of longevity that trend will have if too many follow suit. I think the idea in this case was, if you're not the best ad then you won't get much after Super Bowl press - But, if you pre-release and you're one of the only one's doing that, then you get lots of press regardless how your ad ends up stacking up against the competition.
In this case it looks like a good play as the Honda ad had mixed reviews.
