Mods, is there anyway to change the maximum image size from 48.8 KB to something larger? I would like to upload a gif as my avatar but the file is too large. It's 550 KB.

Can you reduce a GIF file the way you can a jpeg?

It clearly states in the TOS that this should be disallowed, because the user already has a pretty cool avatar image.
