My wife would agree with you, but I just don't see the appeal of the stuff. I can't think of another one that really stands out to me though.

Simple answer when one thinks about it...Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing...made from the envelope (NOT the bottle)...made with Hellmann's Mayo and half & half...give it a day to set up properly...

Worse thing about Cattleman's Dressing--is where you have to go to get it...

Cattleman's house dressing and the ranch that comes with your carrot and celery sticks at Wing Stop. We take big batches of that stuff home and use it as salad dressing!

Nothing...nothing...is easier to learn how to make than your own salad dressing. Taste is quite different with everyone...how hard is it to do it yourself? I would hate to be so helpless as to not know how...even mayonnaise is quite easy...it only takes a little learning and the right ingredients and the proper tools.

I cannot help but feel these thoughts are based on advertising and not experience. Cattlemen's is a dirty place--old and shop-worn with sticky tables and crowded with people who saw advertising that is quite effective. I would like to know their REAL repeat customer rate...there just isn't anything there worth wanting twice. It WAS a good place in the 1960's...a very long time ago--and you can only live on memories so long...

I've only been to Cattleman's a few times, but I did enjoy the steaks and the "unique" atmosphere. I'm just not a fan of the salad dressing.
