Not BofA.
From what I have heard the hours are the best thing about Arvest
Probably can't go wrong with either MidFirst or BancFirst if you want an OKC based bank
I just opened an account at MidFirst. They seem to have good customer service.
I currently bank at BOK, Oklahoma Health Services Federal Credit Union, and IBC. All in all I prefer BOK. Had an account at Bank of America, but closed it.
I use Legacy and I love them!
Bank of Verden (in Newcastle) is good.
The big problem with MidFirst for me (and why I hardly use my account) is I cannot make ACH electronic transfers from one bank account to another. You can make transfers from one MidFirst account to another - but I can't easily move money around. They are way behind the times on this. This is basic stuff at most all banks. MidFirst has never given me an explanation as to why every other bank can accommodate this easily but, for some reason, they cannot. Makes no sense. It's 2011.
I'm unaware of any negatives regarding IBC. Multiple outlets in the greater metro, including 1 or 2 that offer Sunday hours.
Pick your base branch, but you can drop deposits, cash checks, etc. at any of the other branches. That was rather convenient when I was working in OKC and often not back to Norman before closing.

I'd recommend BancFirst. Keep it local and support the Oklahoma based banks.
yea i been hearing a bunch of good things about ibc lately, the important thing to me is the overdraft fees. i tend to use the hck out of my overdraft, and i hear bok is like $28 per overdraft. i know arvest is unreal, something like $18 per overdraft from what i hear. thats crazy cheap, most banks are going close to $30 per overdraft transaction.
BancFirst recently did something when they mailed out a paper to sign for no overdraft fees. Mom signed it and if she ever goes overdraft, no charge for her. Talk to them about that.
We opted out of overdraft protection. If you haven't got the money then you shouldn't be buying it.
