I don't understand this. Just because it's a "school night". Are they going to move it the next 5 years when Halloween falls on weekdays? Or is this a church thing?

    Stupid IMO.

The obsession about "Trick-or-Treating" night--says a lot about some of our contributors. Perhaps they should just mow the lawn and have their parents buy them some candy...rather than throw fits...

thanks for the personal attack. Anyone else want to help me understand why they moved Halloween?

I've seen them do that, frequently, in other places. Usually if it falls on a Friday - Sunday they leave it alone. Does seem odd to change it when it falls on a Sunday. A lot of churches would rather have the kids doing something at the church, anyway, so it sounds like the opposite of a church thing.

It's all because of Jebus. Nobody will admit to this, though. "It's because it falls on a school night!" Then why don't you move it every year that it falls on a school night? "Uhhh. . ." (runs away)

And here's the other thread: Oklahoma City creates its own Halloween holiday
