Thread: Soldier Creek

    Default Soldier Creek

MWC needs to work on Soldier Creek between Reno Ave. & N.E. 10th St. Any time a large rain happens the backyards FLOOD.

Agreed. There have been sooo many times lately when Regional is a lake instead of a park. Not everyone can afford to put in a retaining wall like Parkview Apartments. They need to do what they've done with the other creeks and finish them out with the conrete walls. Just look further down Reno to see a project that worked...and one that didnt. The creek on the South side of Reno is contained in the walled in area (the side where Willow Creek Apts. are). The side that is a 'grass' wall doesn't contain and floods those homes as well. I know it's expensive, but it's way better than having homes flood.
