How long has your family lived in Oklahoma City?

Your Great Grandparents took my Great-Great Grandparents land.....that's O.K. though.....Have lived in the OKC area since 1952 was in Texas for 10 years of that though. My wife's been her since 1948 with the ten years with me....

My family moved to OKC from Beggs in 1958. We're relative newcomers!!

My mom & dad were born and raised in Rattan, OK. She graduated in '44 and married my dad and they moved to the City to work. I was born here in 1946 and always lived in South OKC, until moving to Moore 30+ years ago.

Air Force move? I only ask because that's the route we took in 1969. Of course my father was born here so the family has been here since before 1928.

Maternal - 1921
Paternal - 1925

Mom's parents came from Texas.
Dad's parents came from PA/NY.

1941: Dad was born in Chandler 1934.

Have to ask Mom about her family. Her Dad was in Okc during or before WWII. Not sure when her Mom came here. Her Mom was a ticket taker at a movie theater on Reno. The Isis.

Nope, my dad was discharged from the Army in 1962. There weren't many civil engineering firms in Altus back then, he actually worked at a firm in Lawton and commuted until they moved to OKC. I was 6 months old when they moved.

Mom and Dad moved to OKC right before he went into US Army in 1941. I was born in OKC in 1948.

I'm not sure when he finally moved to Oklahoma, but my great-great-great grandfather was guiding troops through the state as early as 1834.

Since at least '69. Both sides of my family homesteaded elsewhere in Oklahoma though.

Both sides of my father's parents homesteaded via land lottery in SW Oklahoma. I'm not sure when my mother's parents arrived in Oklahoma exactly but they moved to the NW 32nd and Shartel area in the twenties.
