Default Chris Paul and Hornets could bring Playoffs to OKC

I thought this was kind of interesting:

...the Oklahoma City Thunder (46-28) are on the brink of making the playoffs and could clinch a berth as early as Friday, if Memphis were to lose to New Orleans.

I'm hoping Chris Paul has enough pride that he wants to win every game possible, even though they are out of the playoff race. I'd love to clinch tonight, although it would be fun to clinch at home against the Timberwolves, too. The crowd would go wild, that's for sure.

Can someone tell me why Portland has clinched a playoff berth when they currently stand at 8th in the Western conference while OKC and S.A. stand at 6th and 7th respectively?

    Paul Allen bribed the NBA.

seems weird to me when I saw that.

I believe it's because they hold the tie breaker over Memphis, and Memphis is the only team that could challenge for a playoff spot at this point in time and would have to win out to make the playoffs.

Your smart phone allows you to read and post messages here at OKC Talk but doesn't allow you to do something as simple as looking up a basketball score? Doesn't sound like a very smart phone to me.

    Anyway, you're "welcome."

I just run off wi-fi, I don't use a data plan and was out of wi-fi range shortly after I asked the question.

Portland has played more games and have fewer games now to lose at this point in the season.
