    Default Sandwich Shop On Walker

What was the name of the sandwich shop on N. Walker, just north of 23rd? They had the best submarine sandwiches I ever ate.

The only thing I remember that was north of N.W. 23rd and N. Walker was
Cheevers Flowers and Sound Warehouse. The building was huge. If
memory serves there was a disco just north of Cheever's.

Nick's was on N. Western and north of N.W. 23rd and on the east side of
the street. Their Pastrami was the best. I ate there every Friday for quite a
    while.

Was there not a Humpty Dumpty on the east side of the street just north of 23rd and walker?

I always got the meatball sandwich from Nick's. Did both locations go out of business at the same time? The second location was on Grand and North May

Was it on the East side of the road? Like maybe in what was at one time a little house that was converted into a restaurant? It sounds familiar to me.

It was painted yellow when Flojos, a Mexican restaurant, took over the lease.
It was a dark red when it was Nick's. There were some other colors for the
    trim but I don't remember.

None of these are the restaurant I remember. It was definitely on N. Walker, just north of Mutual Federal on the west side of the street.

Bora Bora was there. Go to Google map at street level and go up and down - maybe you will see it.

Yes, we shopped at that Humpty Dumpty when I was growing up. There is a cell tower there now, but until that was there you could still see the foundation and the checked tile floor from the old building.

That was Mr. Lan's disco in the late 80's and early 90's.

In the late 60's and 70's, that Bora Bora building housed the Faro Room and the Red Onion.
