Thread: Schools of OKC

    Default Schools of OKC

I was thinking about John Tyler Elem and could not remember where it was located. Anyone know? Is it still standing?

We know that Jefferson Davis is still there though unused for several years.

John Tyler is located on S.W. 15th, between Blackwelder and Westwood (Blvd) just off of Blackwelder. My hubby played Baseball for the John Tyler Grasshoppers in '57 or '58.

Those were the halcyon days for the ol' Grasshoppers. Yes Indeed. Fine years, there.

The building is still there and in use, it's used as a pre-school/daycare facility. I don't believe it's operated by OKC Public Schools, I think it's operated by a private group.
