ok, here's one...i think some more people have discovered this but...about 3 blocks west of the ford center on Reno, there's a tire shop...it's free and not too far of a walk.

BASS PRO!!! Only a 1/2 mile walk or so... but with it being so cold out, it doesn't make it as enjoyable as it would if it were nice outside..

Park on 2nd street just east of the railroad bridge and then cross Broadway and go into the Santa fe garage. Go up to the 2nd floor and cross to the cox center on the bridge.

Aren't there a few places that do happy hour then offer free ride to/from the game? Not free since you have the food expense, but you're probably gonna snarf something up somewhere anyway.

In the eves, I sometimes park N side of the sheraton on the street and enjoy the stroll into Bricktown. Probably about the same walk distance to the Ford Center. never had an issue with the vehicle being left there, even when left for hours on end

I've never had a problem finding street parking in downtown. If you go over to Broadway around the Skirvin, (not EK Gaylord) there's usually something.

Yes. Mickey Mantle's provides limo service to and from the game if you're there at their happy hour and/or have dinner there.

So does Iguana Grill. And I think Cafe Nova on Western.

You're got to get there almost 15 minutes early--area on street side of Robinson--west traveling southbound under the police hydraulic lookout perch just north of the old city rescue mission adjacent to the Ford Center.

i second bass pro. take the trolley as far as it will run to the ford center.

i understand okc is the birthplace of the parking meter, but in all actuality as a city striving to increase tourism and commerce we should do away with metered and paid parking altogether.

hopefully, the new maps projects includes tons of new free parking spaces for future and current attractions.

Nah, when I don't wanna walk, I pay for parking. When I feel like walking, I don't. I typically feel like walking so it is no biggie. But having the option for close in paid parking shouldn't be viewed as a bad thing.

the only benefit to paid parking is that it basically reserves a spot to those who are willing to open up their wallets to obtain the spot.they, for whatever reason, arent able to participate in the general rule of "first come, first serve".

if paid parking is eliminated, those with prior commitments such as work or family would never be able to arrive within a narrow time window of, say less than an hour, and expect to get a spot with a walk less than 5-10 minutes from the attraction.

I really can't believe you guys and gals. When I was in OKC 2 weeks ago I paid $5 on Thunder game night to park in the garage by The Brick. A short walk along the canal and we were at the Ford Center. In fact, my wife and one son didn't want to go to the game so we drove them to Norman and then parked in the same garage again for another $5. At $10 it was still a bargin. Especially when you consider I paid $10 to park my car in Memphis and was told by the doorman at our hotel there was a chance it wouldn't be there in the morning.

I can park on the street for free withing 4 blocks of the FC less than 45 min prior to tip-off. It's easy.
