Thread: Where Is OkcHistory.com?

  1. Default Where Is OkcHistory.com?

Steve Lackmeyer and Jack Money's http://www.okchistory.com/ has been off-line now for 2 or so weeks. That is not good.

Can Steve or Martin (who I understand is helping Steve with this) provide an update as to when things will again be copacetic?

  2. Default Re: Where Is OkcHistory.com?

I thought it was just me that couldn't get on.

  3. Default Re: Where Is OkcHistory.com?

Steve had problems with his server or something like that and it is presumably being moved elsewhere ... or something like that.

  4. Default Re: Where Is OkcHistory.com?

We had some problems with our old ISP fighting with our new ISP. That was resolved Tuesday or Wednesday. Part of our problem was the old ISP insisted on installing our content management system and it was an outdated mess and to make matters worse the ISP was unstable after being hacked in April.

  5. Default Re: Where Is OkcHistory.com?

Just called the new ISP. We're hopefully looking at the registry transfer being complete by Tuesday. Let's just say this isn't going as smoothly as Martin or I hoped.

  6. Default Re: Where Is OkcHistory.com?

We're making progress ... looks like we might be back up live Monday or Tuesday.

  7. Default Re: Where Is OkcHistory.com?

Yea! It's back up ... http://www.okchistory.com/ ... looks like there may be a few kinks (I notice that some characters didn't covert well, probably an easily fixable font problem) but it's surely good to see the fine history blog back on-line again.

Thanks Doug. Talked with Martin and the remaining hiccups should be fixed in the next day or so.

  9. Default Re: Where Is OkcHistory.com?

OK, images are uploaded now. It may take a few weeks to remove some bad character conversions in the text - they're annoying, but don't prevent reading of the articles. I can't begin to say thank you enough times to Martin, our web genius.
