  1. Default Thai Kitchen Downtown CLOSED by OTC

Oklahoma Tax Commission has closed the Thai Kitchen. I assume that's temporary....I don' tknow what I will do if it's permanent.

Oh, man.....that's unfortunate. The people that own this place are the nicest folks in the world....hope everything is okay.

Mid, a couple of first-timers and I walked up there from Leadership Square to see that stupid damned red paper from across the street as approaching. My heart sank.

I hope they'll still honor my free buffet card- I have five stamps!

There's obviously more to the story here....which should probably be left off a public forum. I know one of the owners was having health issues.

Also, the last couple of times I dropped in around two in the afternoon, they were closed. It was a little frustrating, even for dedicated customers.

The clear part is they were delinquent in their taxes; no more, no less is "obvious."

just another example of how hunger stricken this state is for tax dollars. if you dont pay up you tax dollars, OTC will hunt you down like a bloodhound.

    That's always been the case.

Penalties for tax evasion must be swift and extreme or people will welch on their taxes. If you're ever wanting to get started in real estate, look into tax liens sometime. They're excellent investments if you know what you're doing.
