Thread: Local alternatives to GNC-type stores?

  1. #1

Default Local alternatives to GNC-type stores?

Are there stores/markets that sell nutritional supplements and aromatherapy oils in the metro area? I'm not looking for a chain store like GNC, but if there isn't another alternative then I guess I have no choice. Thank you!

Akins if a local chain of 2 stores that stocks a pretty nice selection of alternative meds, vitamins, herbal supplements, and organic food.

The Health Food Store at 10th and Classen has been there since the 50s. Not sure what it's called though. I've been in a few times and their selection and expertise blows GNC away.

Akin's has 2 stores in OKC, 2 stores in Tulsa, a store in Springfield, Mo, one in Topeka, KS, one in Lincoln, NE. They also own all six Chamberlin's locations in Florida. They're pretty big and growing.

There are dozens of places. What part of town are you looking in. Others have already mentioned about a dozen, there are probably at least a dozen more.
