Thread: Heat & A/C recommendations

    Default Heat & A/C recommendations

I'm wanting to get an annual "tune-up" on my A/C unit. Anyone have any good/bad experience and recommendations? I would like as much specific information as you can give me. Anyone have access to Angie's List and willing to share the highest rated from user recommendations, etc?

I've used Interstate Heating and AC a couple times. Prompt, reasonable pricing, and highly rated on Angie's List.

Those are the top three with the most reviews rated "A".

I've been using Oklahoma Air (848-8868) for several years and think they are just top notch. They service all brands, but install Trane.

I called and used True Tech after checking out online reviews and the companies websites. True Tech just seemed to have a better philosophy, etc. They came out quicker than originally estimated and the tech was very friendly and informative. Unfortunately since I live in a condo, he told me there is not much that you can do for those style of Central Heat/Air so basically he just tested everything and nothing had to be adjusted, etc. So I paid $69 for peace of mind basically. I do recommend them if you have a normal stand alone home unit, as they are top notch and they offer a 100% money back guarantee. If you own a condo or multiunit development, you may not need to do a "tune-up" or anything as there is not much to do other than test to make sure it is putting our the right amount of amps, thermostat is good, and the filter is good.

I've always liked Drabeck & Hill. They NEVER try have high pressure salesmen that show up for a service call like Gregory's does. I never feel like I'm wasting their time asking questions or exploring my options and I've ALWAYS been satisfied by the quality of their work.

Drabeck and Hill seem to be doing a lot of things correctly and they're the only ones I'll use, until I hear/experience otherwise.

I heard bad things about Air Comfort Solutions from a co-worker....like really bad experiences.

I second this. My family has used them for years even on a business. They just recently came out to my house to clean the coil, and recharge the freon. They always do good work, and don't try to sell you things you don't need.

Air Comfort Solutions installed two new Carrier systems for me last year and I have been nothing but pleased, especially with my Electric Bill!
