Thread: Thunder To Hold Workouts Before Draft, Look For Gems

Default Thunder To Hold Workouts Before Draft, Look For Gems

The Oklahoma City Thunder will be holding workouts before the draft in hopes of finding gems. Workouts will start with former Siena senior guard Kenny Hasbrouk. Others to be invited to workout with the Thunder this summer are Texas A&M guard-forward Josh Carter, BJ Raymond from Xavier and Curtis Jerrells from Baylor, to name a few. While the Thunder currently have three picks in the first two rounds, their glaring needs were met through in-season acquisitions like Malik Rose and Thabo Sefolosha.

I don't mean to be rude.. but where do you get these trash articles from? The Thunder have two picks (not 3) in this years draft... both in the 1st round.

Guys at ESPN had an article on James Harden from ASU. Probably be the best fit if we don't get Blake even though I wouldn't be too upset with Thabeet...Be nice to have someone in the paint that may dissuade the little guys from comin in

This is the end of the ESPN article

We've had Harden ranked in the Top 5 of our Top 100 all year and after watching him work out, I think there's little chance he falls out of it. He's going to be more impressive than many would think in workouts. His slimmed-down physique and improved explosiveness should quiet any doubters. I think Oklahoma City is the team where he fits the best, but I also could see him on the Wizards in a backcourt with Gilbert Arenas. It's hard to believe he slips past both of those teams, unless they are picking No. 1 and No. 2.

Any word yet on if the Thunder are going to workout Griffin and Rubio? I know people speculate the Clippers and Grizzlies will very probably take them before our #3 pick but there is always a chance we could work out a trade and move up.
