Question about Avatars

Just wondering if this forum allowed avatars to be used. I noticed the selection for it, but it wouldn't allow me to include one.

Yes, we eventually had planned to offer an avatars library for active members to choose from. I'll see what I can do to step it up a bit.

I have heard the term avater, however, do not know what they are. Could someone enlighten me, please? And for what they are used?

Mr. Anderson, an Avatar is just a symbol under your name that appears everytime you post a message. For example, on our old forum board, I had a small pic of the Bricktown Ballpark under my name.
