    Default Rumble the Bison

    Presenting..... (drumroll)

    Rumble!

A coworker said he looks like Teen Wolf with Horns... I agree.

Darn, I really want to like him. I like the idea of a bison. I even like the name "Rumble." But this guy looks like a yak - a very, hairy yak. Or, a yeti. With horns. The bowl-cut bangs are the real show stopper. Kind of reminds me of some bad high school haircuts back in the 70's. I guess he'll grow on me.

It looks so much like Squatch with a different head. Does anyone know if its the same person?

And also the facial features are, well, a little soft to me. I think the 6th grade haircut, and the eyes could use a little improvement.

I like everything about Rumble, but those two features.

Thank you. Yes, the hair has that Chewbacca thing going for it - definitely similar to Squatch's. The face and horns, of course, are different.

I guess my issue is that in all of my times hiking midst the REAL bison of the Oklahoma Plains (Wichita Mountain variety), I done ne'er seen one with hair that had been straightened by a straightening iron. The hair is always a coarse frizz, not silky and smooth.

It's pretty cool. He actually looks like Rick Ruben or Joacin Phoenix.

I was at the game tonight and thought he was great. That picture really does not do him justice.

He does look better in person... I like him.. I wish his eyes were a little different - looks a little cross eyed I think.. but, overall, I think they did a good job.

The presentation was cool, Rumble dropping from the ceiling playing a drumset. That was pretty fun.

I was at the game, and he looked great! My son got his picture with him after the game. He looks alot better in real life. He was really funny. I really like him!

God made two creatures, the bison, and those which may someday become a bison.
Yeah, ok, this one plays drums, found a leftover battery tv at the base of Mt. Scott and watched a few too many ladder matches on WWE, but I still likes him.

Michael Jay Fox - Teen (horny) Wolf!

He can't be too scary looking, because mascots are designed for the kids as much as anything. I think he looks pretty good, especially compared to most of the NBA mascots. He brought a lot of energy to the game last night, and did a good job getting the fans revved up.

  16. Default Re: Rumble the Bison

His face is a little soft, but we don't want to scare the kids. The drum playing, dancing, and dunking was great I thought!

The face is my only problem with the costume, too. Buffalo have narrower heads. I keep envisioning something that looks like Joe Camel with a darker complexion, shaggy hair, and a goatee.

My son and I were at the game, it was a littler over hyped, but I like the end result.

P.S. I think Rumble has a distant relative living in the mountains of SE. Oklahoma, at least that what the Natives say.

I'd heard that. I just can't bring myself to call it a bison. It'll always be a buffalo to me. It's not technically correct, but a lot more people will understand what you're talking about. LOL

"Near" dunking or "Attempted" dunking is what I believe you meant about last night's performance. I'm sure he'll improve, as the organization has, throughout the season.

I think he had a great personality, lots of fun antics and he dances pretty well too!

Bison actually have straight hair on their heads (not curly or kinky as I've heard some people say). It's not as long as that on our mascot, but most mascots use quite a bit of artistic license. I think the resemblance to Chewbacca and Squatch is purely coincidental. And, I certainly like the way he looks far better than the Colorado mascot. I agree that his face is a bit soft, but I'm sure that's to keep the kids from getting scared. You don't want a scary mascot at Children's Hospital or a birthday party. I think it's actually an excellent design, and although I'm not that into mascots, I like the idea of having a bison available for a primary or secondary logo and alternative merchandise designs.
